Okavango camps & what they cost
The Delta sits at the premium end of African safari travel — because of fly-in access, remote logistics, conservation fees, and a deliberate government policy of low visitor numbers. There is more range than most people expect, though.

What the transfers add
Most camp rates include meals, activities and often park or concession fees — but bush flights are usually separate. Light-aircraft transfers between camps typically add $250 – $700 per person per leg. International flights to Maun are separate again.
A concrete example of how season moves the number: one mid-premium camp published 2026 rates of roughly $1,650 per person per night for June–October, about $1,225 for April–May and November, and about $850 for December–March — with the Maun flight billed at $325 per person each way and a community and conservation levy of $20 per person per night on top.

Concession vs public reserve
Most of the Delta's best-known camps sit on private concessions leased from local communities, not in the public Moremi Game Reserve. Only guests of camps inside a given concession can enter it, which is what makes off-road driving, night drives, walking safaris and mokoro trips possible — activities restricted or prohibited in the public reserve.
Moremi itself is worth knowing about for another reason: it was the first reserve in Africa established by a local community — the Batawana people — to protect their ancestral land.
Choose a band
Each band is a materially different trip, not a discounted version of the one above it — the difference is concession access, which decides whether you can go off-road, drive at night, walk or paddle.
